MONDAY, NOV. 3DEPART DENVER. Board your transatlantic flight to Dubrovnik, Croatia.   Lufthansa Flight #447, Departs Denver at 5:25 pm (meals on board). 

TUESDAY, NOV. 4 DUBROVNIK- Arrive at Dubrovnik Airport at 3:40 pm. Check into the 5-star Hilton Imperial.  Group dinner. (D)*

WEDNESDAY, NOV. 5DUBROVNIK. Hot American breakfast buffet at hotel. Enjoy a full day of leisure on your own. OR: Choose Optional Tour of Montenegro. (B)*

 OPTIONAL 1Montenegro: $90/pp.  

Only one hour drive from Dubrovnik, Montenegro offers an unforgettable experience, exceptional natural beauty in combination with a rich history and culture. This is a land where the mountains descend almost directly into the sea creating a surreal atmosphere.  Enjoy the drive around the Kotor Bay with its numerous small settlements; make a stop in Medieval Kotor to soak in the typical Mediterranean lifestyle; proceed up towards the mountains to visit Cetinje, which once used to be the center town of the Montenegrin rulers; stroll around in Budva, the ancient town which is today a lively tourist resort. IMPORTANT: Passport is required.

 

THURSDAY, NOV. 6DUBROVNIK. Hot American breakfast buffet at hotel. Half day tour of Dubrovnik. The tour begins with a coach drive to the coastal highway for a panoramic view of the city walls, ancient rooftops and the picturesque surroundings. We continue with a walking tour of the city, which is on the UNESCO’s List of World Patrimony due to its exceptional beauty and rich cultural heritage.  This ancient town, surrounded by strong ramparts and fortresses, is a treasure trove of architectural and cultural masterpieces, scrupulously preserved over the centuries. Apleasant walk will take us to the Rector's Palace, the Dominican Monastery and to other places of interest.  Rehearsal and Evening Performance.  Dinner on your own. (B)*

FRIDAY, NOV. 7DUBROVNIK. Hot American  breakfast buffet at hotel. Enjoy a day of leisure in Dubrovnik. OR: Take an Optional Tour of  Medugorje and Mostar in Bosnia- Herzegovina. Dinner on your own. (B)*  

OPTIONAL 2– Medugorje and Mostar in Bosnia-Herzegovina: $85/pp.            

Medjugorje is a world-famous sanctuary where people from all over the world come with great faith and prayers.  The legend of Medjugorje is that since 1981 the Blessed Virgin Mary has been appearing in this small village and giving messages to the world.  Continue to Mostar, the largest town in Herzegovina and second-largest in the whole country (after Sarajevo).  Mostar's most famous landmark is its beautiful stone suspension bridge which stretches across the Neretva river. IMPORTANT: Passport is required.

 SATURDAY, NOV. 8DUBROVNIK. Hot American breakfast buffet at hotel. Enjoy a morning of leisure in Dubrovnik. OR: Take an Optional Morning Tour of Arboretum. Rehearsal and Evening Performance. Group Dinner. (B,D)*

OPTIONAL 3 – Trsteno Arboretum Tour: $45/pp. More than 300 species of trees and numerous plants from around The Mediterranean and the world set around architecture from the Gothic-Renaissance period onwards makes the Trsteno Arboretum widely acknowledged as one of the finest gardens in this part of Europe.  The botanical gardens at Trsteno North of Dubrovnik were founded in 1492 by the Gucetic family that lived in the splendid 15th century summer residence in the centre of the gardens until it was nationalized by the communists


SUNDAY, NOV. 9
DUBROVNIK.
Hot American  breakfast buffet at hotel. Enjoy a day of leisure in Dubrovnik. OR: Take an Optional Tour of the Dubrovnik Countryside Tour. Gala Farewell Banquet in the evening. (B, D)*  

OPTIONAL 4Dubrovnik Countryside Tour: $80/pp.   Begin your day by attending the well-known folk dances in the village of Cilipi. The folklore performance shows the beautiful national costumes and thus all the richness of culture and tradition. Be sure not to miss out on the opportunity to stroll around the open market set up in the village. Enjoy lunch on your own.
The day is rounded off with a visit to the home/ gallery of Mijo Sisa Konavljanin - the only primitive painter in the region. Finally, to crown this eventful day we will make a stop at the Gray Falcon viewpoint, which offers an exquisite view over the whole area including the surrounding islands.

 

MONDAY, NOV. 10 DUBROVNIK/NEW YORK OR ZAGREB. Hot American breakfast buffet at hotel. Return flight – Croatia #661, departing 6:40 am to USA from Dubrovnik airport for those not going on the Optional Extension to Zagreb OR: Transfer to Zagreb on Croatia #663 departing 7:55 am to Zagreb from Dubrovnik airport. Note: Flight from Dubrovnik to Zagreb is included in the cost of the Optional Extension.  Enjoy a Zagreb city tour of the historic Upper Town, St. Mark's Church, St. Catherine's Church, the Cathedral, the Parliament and the Government Palace. Check in to the 4-star   Palace Hotel. Group Dinner at the hotel. (B, D)*

TUESDAY, NOV. 11ZAGREB. Hot American breakfast buffet at hotel. Enjoy a day of leisure in Zagreb OR: take an Optional Tour to Slovenia. (B).

OPTIONAL 5Slovenia: $90/pp. Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, is a vibrant city full of surprises, characterized by a unique fusion of complementing contrasts. It has everything that modern capitals can boast, but at the same time it has preserved the friendly and relaxing atmosphere of a small town. Visit the most significant sights of the old city centre: the picturesque Central open-air Market and the Three Bridges, both designed by famous architect Joze Plecnik, Baroque Town Hall and Robba's Fountain

 

 

 

 

 

WEDNESDAY, NOV. 12ZAGREB. Hot American breakfast buffet at hotel. Enjoy a day of leisure in Zagreb OR: take an Optional Tour to Plitvice Lakes National Park. (B). 

OPTIONAL 6Plitvice Lakes National Park: $85/pp. The Plitvice Lakes were proclaimed a national park in 1949, and in 1979 they registered in UNESCO’s World Heritage List. The park includes beautiful forests with sixteen large, and many other small, lakes which emerge at the source of the Korana River. They form numerous cascades and beautiful waterfalls as they flow into one another. The lakes are very attractive to visitors due to their incredible beauty, rich plant and animal life and numerous recreational facilities.

THURSDAY, NOV. 13ZAGREB/NEW YORK. Hot American breakfast buffet at hotel. Transfer to Zagreb airport for your return flight to the USA. Return flight – Lufthansa Flight #3491, departing 9:20 am to USA from Zagreb airport, arrives New York 2:30 pm.
